【Abstract】 This essay, starting with a comparative study of the text material and writing background of Macbeth and Emperor Jones, intends to make an in-depth research on conception of the themes in the two tragedies of desires. It is supposed that both heroes have undergone a deterioration of the soul under the impact of desires, and that both plays share the common ground in the positive admonition on humanity.更多还原
