【Abstract】 The paper introduces the background in which the schema theory was formed, presents the basic points of schema theory, and proposes three sorts of lead-in activities in college English reading classes based on schema theory: lead-in activities to activate linguistic schemata, those to activate content schemata, and those to activate formal schemata. In addition, the function of the three sorts of lead-in activities in teaching reading is briefly elaborated.更多还原
