【Abstract】 With the development of cities and the progress of society, the conflicts among the human own requirements are getting stronger and stronger. the efficient way to mitigate this is to develop the new type of space, to say, the inter-tier space .In this article, the nature, expansion, types and the significance for urban construction of this space are expounded systematically. The specialty, problems of space design and corresponding solutions are explored too, and the subsequent research contents and trends are pointed out as well.
