【Abstract】 Scirtothrips dorsalis Hood (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), a new insect pest of lotus flower (Nelumbo nucifera), was firstly reported from mainland China in present paper. This thrips damaged leaves of lotus flowers seriously at the "Lotus World" located in Sanshui, Foshan City of Guangdong Province recently. A list of host plants of the thrips at "Lotus World" was investigated and the control strategies of Scirtothrips dorsalis were provided in the paper.更多还原
