【Abstract】 Evidence shows that the popular Wuge the Shepherd is the folk song of Northern Shaanxi, not of Shanxi or Inner Mongol, whose development could be seen from the original version to the dazuoqiang version and to the errentai version. Listen again to the folk artist Ding Xicai’s Dazuqiang version of Wuge the Shepherd sung in 1950s reminds people of the golden time of tranditional Chinese folk singing. It is time to "revive tranditional Chinese folk singing." Folk songs should be preserved in development.更多还原
