新型三噻吩衍生物的合成及其液晶性能
Synthesis of Terthiophene Derivatives and Their Liquid Crystal Properties
【摘要】 设计、合成了 2种三噻吩衍生物 :N ,N′ 双烷烃基 5 ,5″ 二氯 2 ,2′ :5′ ,2″ 三噻吩 4 ,4″ 二酰胺(DNCnDCl3T ,n =8、18)和 4 ,4″ 双烷烃基 5 ,5″ 二碘 2 ,2′ :5′ ,2″ 三噻吩 4 ,4″ 二酰胺 (DNCnDI3T ,n =8、18)。差示扫描量热法以及偏光显微镜观察结果显示 ,DNC18DCl3T和DNC18DI3T具有液晶性 ,形成近晶A相液晶。而DNC8DCl3T和DNC8DI3T不具有液晶性。研究发现 ,此类噻吩衍生物侧基酰胺基上较长的烷烃链对于液晶的形成起着重要作用。
【Abstract】 Two terthiophene derivatives containing an alkylamide group, N,N′-dialkyl-5,5″-dichloro-2,2′:5′,2″-terthiophene-4,4″-dicarboxamide(DNC nDCl3T,n=8,18) and N,N′-dialkyl-5,5″-diiodo-2,2′:5′,2″-terthiophene-4,4″-dicarboxamide(DNC nDI3T,n=8,18) were synthesized, their thermal behavior were examined. Polarized light microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry reveal DNC 18DCl3T and DNC 18DI3T exhibit smectic A phase, whereas DNC 8DCl3T and DNC 8DI3T do not form liquid crystal phase. It indicated that the alkyl chain length shows great effects on the liquid crystal phase formation.
