【Abstract】 The theory of security community constructivism is a new theory applied in current researches in the development of ASEAN. Formation of a security community is based on the consensus of member countries on a set of concepts and norms. This thesis analyzes the background against which the norms of ASEAN originated, as well as the process by which pro-west countries in Southeast Asia transformed their attitudes regarding regional and national security interests from confrontation before World War Ⅱ to conformity. Formation of the new regional security concepts and the norms of regional order propelled the setting up of ASEAN organization. At the same time, it signified that ASEAN Security Community was right on its track.更多还原
