【Abstract】 Three compounds have been isolated from the algae Hydroclathrus clathratus collected from the South China Sea. Their structures were established as (6R,7aS)-6-hydroxy-4,4,7a-trimethyl-2,4,5,6,7,7a-hexahydrobenzofuran-2-one (1), 1-(2-deoxy-β-D-ribofuranosyl)-5-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-2,4-dione (2) and uracil (3) by MS, IR, NMR spectra and X-ray diffraction analysis.
