【Abstract】 The base pairs that encode the cytochrome b gene of mitochondrial DNA in naked carp, Gymnocypris przewalskii Kessler and G. eckloni Hersenstein, were amplified and sequenced. The sequence length was 1140 bp for both species, but the contents of T, C, A and G in them were different. For G. przewalskii, the T, C, A and G contents of the sequence were 355 (31.1%), 296 (26%), 305 ((26.8%)) and 184 (16.1%), respectively.
