Complex trend appears among VP-structures within double itemed VP-structure sentences, between VP-structure and NP-structure in Dream of the Red Chamber, which results from the evolution of Chinese historical grammar. It is an efficient and analytic method to make sure whether the doer of the VP-structure is identical with the subject, and whether two doers are same.
