【Abstract】 Integrating the Petri nets model and the spatiotemporal data model, this paper presents the Petri nets-based spatiotemporal data model, in which a place of Petri net represents a state of the temporal GIS, a transition represents an event, and an arc represents a kind of linkage between a state and an event.
