【Abstract】 It was provided an extensible function model for components of GIS (Geography Information System) based onplug-in technologies, after an analysis of the GIS applications characteristic and difficulty. Plug-in technologies were used toextend the application area of GIS and give other information systems access to geography information resources andfunctions.
