【Abstract】 Translation strategies are an indispensable content in translator training. Whenever discuss translation strategies, many people would mention the dichotomy between literal translation and free translation, semantic translation and communicative translation, domesticating translation and foreignizing translation. But very often these concepts are mixed together and cause confusions.
