【Abstract】 Democratic Peace Theory is a debate hot spot in American international relation studies in the post-Cold-War era.Many scholars have written articles to disseminate the idea of Democratic Peace.But this theory confronts a triple dilemma,conceptual,factual and logical,which has led to much criticism to itself.In this theoretical debate,some scholars modified Democratic Peace Theory,among whom John M.Owen is such a figure.His article, How Liberalism Produces Democratic Peace ,emphasizes liberalism and introduces “perception” as a weapon to answer the criticism.However,the co-authors in this article believe that Owen still stays at the stage to modify Democratic Peace Theory rather than help this theory out of its theoretical dilemma,although his efforts bring about some breakthroughs in Democratic Peace Theory.更多还原
