【Abstract】 Based on the results from Discourse Completion Test and the theories of Pragmatics, this article generalizes the strategies in English criticism(EC) and Chinese criticism(CC) from two different perspectives, and compares the frequency of all strategies in two languages. As a result, the authors come to the conclusion that both EC and CC share most of the strategies, but the frequency of each strategy and the specific expressions vary from culture to culture.更多还原
