【Abstract】 With Guo Tai as the commander,the surviving forces of the Yellow Turbans uprising (a large scale peasant uprising at the close of the Eastern Han dynasty,which was suppressed down later)revived at"Bai Bo Valley,the Western River",constructed ramparts there and fought for 10 years successively in different parts.This is the most well organized,the largest-scale and the most prolonged peasant war in ancient Shanxi area,which has a profound historical influence.The exact location of "Bai Bo Valley,the Western River"and the whereabouts of the ramparts have been a complicated and confusing matter among the scholars who have had conflicting and contradictory ideas about them.The authors of this report made on-the-spot field investigations twice and wrote this investigation report on the basis of textual research of the historical documents.(Note:The Western River refers geographically to a section of the Huanghe River stretching from the Great Bend of the Huanghe River to Fenglingdu Ferry.)更多还原
