【Abstract】 While the genomes of many organisms have been sequenced over the last few years, genome annotation, especially gene prediction, is one of the most important projects. A great number of prediction algorithms which try to address one part of this problem have been developed. Homology methods and gene prediction methods, also called ’extrinsic methods’and‘intrinsic methods’ respectively, are widely used and recognized for genome annotation. In this paper, some existing approaches, such as Hidden Markov Model, and Fourier Analysis, were mentioned to predict genes in eukaryotic genomes.更多还原
