基于JPEG2000的彩色图形图像视觉优化
Visual optimization of color graphics image based on JPEG2000
【摘要】 JPEG2000是一种新的静止图像压缩标准,与JPEG相比,对于具有同样视觉质量的灰度等级图像和彩色图像,JPEG2000能提供更高的压缩率。但,对于同样的低比特率的图形图像,一些图形压缩方法,如GIF、PNG等,在视觉质量上比JPEG2000压缩性能好。本文介绍了JPEG2000编解码系统的体系结构;描述了JPEG2000压缩图形数据产生的问题;对JPEG2000编码器提出了改进方法,通过采用人类视觉系统将彩色图形数据失真降至最小。
【Abstract】 The new still image compression standard,JPEG2000,provides higher compression rates for the same visual quality for gray scale and color images than JPEG.However,for graphics images at the same low bit rates,graphics compression methods,such as the graphics interchange format (GIF)and portable network graphics (PNG),outperform JPEG2000 in visual quality.In this paper,the basic architecture is introduced.Then the paper discusses problems associated with compressing graphics data with JPEG2000,and proposes modifications to a JPEG2000 encoder to minimize distortion for color graphics data by using a model of the human visual system.
