【Abstract】 A fast and secure handoff scheme for wireless LAN was proposed. In this scheme, APs adjacent to the AP that is associated with the wireless client are pre-authenticated by the RADIUS authentication server, hence to reduce the time consumption of re-authentication between those APs and the wireless client. In addition, synchronous rekeying of Pairwise Master Key and Roaming Key can secure the handoff process.
