【Abstract】 The great changes taking place in modern China aroused the Chinese peopele’s desire for reform, prosperity and national power, as a result of which evolutionism was readily accepted and extensively propagated. The development of evolutionism in China went through two stages of expansion, one from the sphere of nature to history, the other from history to world outlook, each of which has its historical inevitability and inner logic. From Kang Youwei to Yan Fu, to Sun Zhongshan, and finally to Zhang Taiyan, the study of evolutionism underwent the process of deepening, thus forming a stage of development in evolutionist philosophy in China.更多还原
