双包层单模光纤结构参数对传输特性的影响
Influence of structure parameters of doubly clad single-mode fibers on propagation characteristics
【摘要】 推导了双包层单模光纤的特征方程,对特征方程直接求导解得了基模群时延和群速色散,讨论了结构参数对传播常数、群时延以及群速色散的影响.研究结果表明:纤芯半径(a)和纤芯半径与内包层外半径之比(Q)对光纤的传输特性参数传播常数、群速度以及群速色散均有不同程度的影响,影响的大小及规律与a和Q的值有关.
【Abstract】 The characteristic equation of doubly clad single-mode fibers is calculated. The group delay and group velocity dispersion (GVD) of the fundamental mode are proposed by derivative action on the characteristic equation directly.The influence of structure parameters on propagation constant, group delay and group velocity dispersion are discussed. The research results indicate that the core diameter (a) and the ratio of core diameter to outer diameter of inner cladding (Q) have different impact on propagation constant, group delay and group velocity dispersion.The degree and rule of impact vary with different a and Q.
