【Abstract】 On the basis of introducing Emily Dickinson’s different rebel images by different critics as a madwoman, a lesbian, and a reactive woman, this paper tries to analyze the deep motivation of three of the most arresting behaviors of Dickinson—her refusal to join the church, her reclusion, and her wearing only in white in her later life, and further argues about Dickinson’s always conscious rebellion toward the patriarchal society.更多还原
