【Abstract】 West-to-east power transmission is an important strategic decision of the grand western development of China and an important way of overall regional development of China. West-to-east power transmission can be divided into 3 routes, i.e. the southern route, the middle route and the northern route. The southern route is constructed by China Southern Electric Network Limited Company and the middle route and the northern route are constructed by the National Electric Network Company. The significant achievements of west-to-east power transmission was obtained in the southern electric network and the construction of west-to-east power transmission and development of southern electric network are complement and promotive to each other.
