【Abstract】 Prof. YAN considered that the main pathogenesis of reflux gastritis-esophagitis is the imbalance between liver and stomach. The key of treatment is dealing with the liver and the stomach simultaneously and accordingly. The therapeutical principle of dispersing liver-qi. As to the selection of medicines, mild agents are used instead of potent ones, ascending and descending medicines are used accordingly, the light and active ones are applied and fu-organs are dredged and turbidness is eliminated to smooth qi activity. Collaterals are involved in chronic diseases and stagnation of blood occurs, so that medicines are selected according to the severiy of blood-stasis.
