【摘要】 本文运用相关和回归方法对全国海船船员第33期考试成绩成因作了定量分析。结果表明轮机英语成绩与考生的专业课主、辅机显著相关,主、辅机等轮机专业知识能在约50％程度上对轮机英语成绩变异进行说明或预测;而与考生的基础英语(非专业)相关度很微弱,基础英语也只能说明轮机英语成绩的0.1％。轮机英语应对英语在轮机管理中的综合应用能力进行考察,现行考试加强了专业内容的考察,却忽视了对英语综合应用能力的考察。另外约50％的轮机英语成绩变异也许只能从学生对试题集的死记硬背的短期机械记忆得到说明。更多还原

【Abstract】 Causal analysis was made of the constitution of the score of National English Qualification Testfor Seafarers using data of No. 33 National English Qualification Test for Seafarers. The results suggest that thesubjects’ qualification in Main Propulsion Plant and Auxiliary Machinery and other topical knowledge contributeabout 50% to the total variance of the score of the test. The subjects’ qualification in the English for generalpurposes (College English) accounts for only about 0.1% thereof. National English Qualification Test for Sea-farers neglected in measuring subjects’ English for general purposes while the measurement of navigationalknowledge was greatly weighted.更多还原
