【Abstract】 In the course of modern economic development, the facient effect caused by port industry is huge. Implementing the port development strategy means speeding up port planning construction and re-enforcing the development of modern physical distribution industry, big port industry as well as the rising service industry through transshipment, loading and unloading and processing of goods at home and abroad, delivery of tourists, port industry, storage information industry and other special functions, which can boost economic development of such regions as north Jiangsu, Lanzhou, Xinjiang along Long-hai Railway.
