【Abstract】 Compared with the theory of "rule by law" in the West, the traditional Chinese theory of Rule by Law has many striking features in the aspects of conceptions, origin, contents, basis, and function. It has also many similar aspects to as well as different aspects from the core ideas of traditional Chinese political culture - - - "rule by humanity", "rule by etiquette" , and "rule by virtue" .
