【Abstract】 A software(FDC1.0) that was aimed at estimating fractal dimensions for any plane picture was developed based on the theory of box-counting dimension,the basic concept and technical approach for development of this software were also described.The software was applied to estimate fractal dimensions for crown and rooting characteristics of poplars,the results showed that fractal dimension might be a substitutive index for complex traits such as crown and rooting characteristics,thus FDC1.0 could be a useful tool for complex traits research.In addition,the prospect of application of FDC1.0 was also discussed.更多还原
