【Abstract】 At present,fractal image compression coding is closely studied and is one of the more promising methods of image coding.The fundamental theory of fractal image compression coding is introduced.Main problems of fractal image compression coding are analyzed. The research on some methods and measures of improving fractal image compression are summarized.
