【Abstract】 The microstructure, phase states and preparation method of the microemulsion were systematically introduced in this paper. The application status of microemulsion in tertiary oil recovery, preparation of nanometer particles, organic chemical reaction, polymerization, catalysis, separation, pharmaceutics, cosmetics and metal cutting fluid and so on had been reviewed.
