【Abstract】 The authors maintain that the 1990s witnessed a transition in LIU Zhen-yun’s novel from "Neo-Realism" to "Neo-Historicism", and, as far as language and narrative style is concerned, from a naturalistic approach to satire and irony. The paper explains that this shift stems from LIU’s "circular historicism" and an insight in the collective unconscious of the Chinese nation. In so doing, he had disgrace as his major subject and historical investigation as his relationship to literature. The paper further points out that satire and irony used to excess will bring out their limitations.更多还原
