多维度再现原作氛围(上)

【摘要】 本文旨在通过分析和再现一篇科普作品的翻译过程 ,说明一种对奈达的“意义为主 ,形式为次”理念的错误理解。即有人认为只要把内容翻出来了 ,形式就可以不管了。笔者认为 ,在翻译内容或意义为先的前提下 ,尽量照顾形式 ,才能更好地 ,多维度地再现原作的氛围 ,即“神似”又“形似”地再现原文意和形。更多还原

【Abstract】 This essay points out that for many, Nida’s notion of “meaning first and form second”has been misinterpreted. They believe that as long as the meaning is conveyed, the form can be ignored. However, the present authors argues that Nida’s “form second” doesn’t necessarily mean that the form of the original can be completely ignored in the translation process. On the contrary, only by following closely the forms or patterns of the original while prioritizing the meaning can the true aura of the original be recaptured and the meaning be relived. For illustration, a translation of a popular science article is presented against its original for the readers’ reference.更多还原
