The common problems of AB process in Zibo WWTP, such as high COD, low SS, and pH fluctuant are presented in this paper. And the countermeasures, including enhancing DO level in phase A, reducing sludge retention time in intermediate sedimentation tank and increasing circulation ratio have been adopted. The results show that the effluent quality has been improved very much.
