【Abstract】 The differences in the Eastern and Western cultures and in the language expressions of Chinese and English will eventually give rise to the barriers in the translation between the two languages. However, it is the faithfulness to the original text that counts in translation, which is not to be fettered by the SL linguistic forms. The present article is to discuss the possibility in cross-cultural linguistic translation equivalence by means of the conversions between positiveness and negativeness, implicitness and explicitness, natural-order and inverted-order, straightforwardness and detour, augmentation and deletion, and the combination of elements into one.更多还原
