【Abstract】 In this paper, four types of photoperiodic response for diapause induction in insect are introduced, that is, long-day response type, short-day response type, short-day and long-day response type and intermediate response type. These photoperiodic response curves show that Photoperiodic response may be temperature-compensated or temperature-sensitive and based on quantitative or qualitative photoperiodic time measurement. These photoperiodic response curves also show that effects of ultra-short and ultra-long days on diapause induction are different. Long days inducing summer diapause and short day inducing winter diapause have different inductive effects.更多还原
