【Abstract】 DEM(Digital Elevation Model) is a kind of terrain model which has comprehensive uses. Because of its large amount data, how to realize efficient lossless compression of DEM is a very important problem. This paper firstly analyses the characteristic of the data of DEM,then studies the application of wavelet in the lossless compression of DEM, gives an approach for data lossless compressing based on JPEG2000 standard. It also gives a group of experiment results, which proves that the approach possesses high compression ratio,and a good property of transmission.更多还原
