【Abstract】 It is of general concern in China how the manufacturing industries in the south of Jiangsu, including Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou, take advantage of their economic superiority to build the regions into manufacturing bases. Based on a comparison of the developments of the manufacturing industries in south Jiangsu, this article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of economic development in the regions, in light of the structures of the industries, their directions of development and the factors affecting their development.
