【Abstract】 After analyzing the framework of traditional PDM and its existing problem in the application, the paper proposes a new research thought of PDM system, enterprise-oriented product structure and configuration management (EOPSCM). Then the EOPSCM’s three-tiered architecture and its functions, cooperating work environment and basic components arc discussed.
