【Abstract】 This paper analyzes and compares the existing fashions of high perfo rmance computing, and explains the relation between Grid and Metacomputing. Havi ng perspective to current Grid projects, the paper studies Grid architecture and presents Grid service semantics. Moreover, it focuses on two Grid key features: heterogeneity and dynamism, and their solutions.
