【Abstract】 By the experience of many year reclamation, exploitation and utilization of saline-alkaline soil in the West of Jilin province, five principles were proposed regarding saline-sodic soil management aiming at the characteristics of soil resources. Advantages and problems in rice cultivation in saline-alkaline soil were discussed. Based on its causes and characteristics, the establishment of a desalinized layer is needed in reclamation of the saline-alkaline soil. Considering the many-year experience of soil reclamation and the fact that natural vegetations are grass species, we advance that planting trees is not feasible on saline-alkaline lands.更多还原
