This paper describes a measurement system for jitter of high-speed optical discs, based on the counter and two-step cascading delay line method which is utilizing the gate and route propagation delay. The system was implemented on a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) device with 75ps single shot resolution and about 5 ps statistical multi-shot resolution.
