【Abstract】 Market power is one of the main contributors that impede the sound operation of the power markets. Some generators exercised the market power in California market by increasing the electricity prices and, in a point, caused the energy crisis in 2001. Research on market power is not newborn at home or abroad, but a certain and easy way to judge the existence of market power is yet unavailable. Traditionally, market concentration is used to make analysis on this issue. Rather than based on the generation side but from the load side, this paper presents an easy but feasible way to analyze the market power. Also, an analysis on the formulation of the market power in China deregulation and the application of market monitoring into preventing the exercise of market power is made.更多还原
