【Abstract】 This paper expounded the conception of major genes. It also reviewed the present conditions of different major genes influencing the reproduction (dw, ESR, FecB etc) trait, the quality of muscle (Hal~n, RN~-, IMF etc) trait, the growth (Myostatin, GH, Callipyge etc) trait, the shape and the resistance illness trait (Luster etc).
