世纪的丰碑 珍贵的遗产——白寿彝先生与中国通史编纂

【摘要】 白寿彝先生深厚的学术和理论修养 ,为中国通史的编纂奠定了基础 ,强烈的历史使命感则是他从事中国通史编纂的动力。白先生主编的《中国通史纲要》以对中国历史的宏观把握 ,及通俗性和科学性相结合而显示特色 ;他主编的多卷本《中国通史》为 2 0世纪史学的丰碑 ;而白先生有关中国通史的编纂理论 ,必将为建立中国通史编纂学提供珍贵的思想资源
