【Abstract】 With the lead of Zhang Qian, modern Nantong had gained great achievements in city planning and construction process. Wu Liangyong argues that Nantong is "the pioneering city of modern China". This serial of articles introduces the continuing of the research on Nantong "the pioneering city of modern China". It mainly focuses on the chronicle, the development of city planning and construction, and Zhang Qian’s city planning thoughts based on searching the history of the city planning and construction of modern Nantong. The objective of this research is exploring the unique way based on Chinese traditional culture during the city planning and construction in modern China. The research is conducted based on the historical documents and using the comprehensive method of the sciences of human settlement, which including historical method, city planning method, and comparative method.更多还原
