【Abstract】 Based upon the introduction to the legal meaning of ship management and ship manager, the ship management industry in China and the current Chinese law regulating thereof, this paper discusses the legal system of entrance into ship management market, the legal status of ship manager and its legal relations with governmental authorities, its trustor and third parties, the disciplinary sanctions and civil liabilities the ship manager may incur and puts forwards suggestions for improving the law regulating the ship management issues in China and for decreasing the risks of its legal liabilities of ship manager.
