【Abstract】 The accumulation of the β amyloid protein (A β )in the brain is the central event leading to the development of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). A β are 40/42 residue fragment of the brain transmembrane protein β amyloid precursor protein (APP), released by two proteases known as the β and γ secreases. β secrease has been regarded as a primary drug discovery target for AD therapy. The current understanding and recent progress in the design of inhibitors of this protease are discussed.更多还原
