X切LiNbO3晶体退火质子交换光波导特性研究
Characterization of annealed proton exchanged optical waveguides in x-cut LiNbO3
【摘要】 研究了X切LiNbO3晶体质子交换光波导与退火质子交换光波导的特性,表明X切LiNbO3晶体质子交换光波导的折射率分布呈近似线性阶跃型分布.通过连续时间的退火,光波导的折射率分布向高斯型分布过渡.实验结果还表明,退火过程波导深度d与退火时间的平方根t成线性比例关系,退火后的光波导折射率分布能呈现出长时间的稳定状态.
【Abstract】 The characterization of planar waveguides fabricated in X-cut LiNbO3 by proton exchange and the post annealing is studied.It is found that the index profile of the exchanged waveguides is a linear step profile and that the index profile changes from step-like to gaussian profile with succesive annealing.The result shows that the annealing depth increases linearity with the square root of annealing time.
