【Abstract】 In the light of China’s educational reforms, a top priority has been given to dynamic combination of examination-oriented education and quality-oriented education in foreign language teaching, for it has something to do with the trend of personnel training. In terms of the philosophy of education quality-oriented education and exam-oriented education are unity of opposites, which are two aspects of a contradiction and important elements in promoting dynamic development of college foreign language education. I think that quality-oriented education would be an ideal teaching pattern of foreign language education in the new century, but it would be penetrated with elements of exam-oriented education. From a general view of the history of China’s educational development,quality-oriented education contains the running process of exam-oriented education. Rational parts of exam-oriented education should be put into quality-oriented education and in the process of dynamic combination of two, there will be a perfect combination, which is to be discussed in the article.更多还原
