【Abstract】 More than 20 years after the pause of application of timber structures in our country, just on the happy occasion of the flouring age, not only tens of hundreds of modern comfortable residential and cultural timber structure building have been imported to meet the needs of material and culture life, but also many famous ancient timber building should be renovated to carry forward the Chinese-civilization. So, recent developments of science and technology of timber structures in the world are introduced,especially composite timber structures.
